Photoshop Standard Callback Suites

These callbacks are accessed through callback suite pointers that are hard coded into the parameter block structures; these suites were defined in Photoshop 4.0 and earlier.

In this case, the suite pointer allows access to multiple callback functions. They are given the name of "Standard Suites".

The following suites are implemented as Photoshop Standard Suites:

• Image Services Suite Callbacks
  Allows access to image processing routines within Photoshop.
• Property Suite Callbacks
  Allows the plug-in to get and set certain values in the plug-in host.
• Resource Suite Callbacks
  Allows the plug-in to store and retrieve data from a document.
• Buffer Suite Callbacks (deprecated Standard Suite)
  Allows the plug-in to manage memory through buffer allocation.
• Handle Suite Callbacks (deprecated Standard Suite)
  Allows the plug-in to manage memory through a handle mechanism, which is similar to handles under the Mac OS.
• Channel Ports Suite Callbacks (deprecated Standard Suite)
  Allows the plug-in to access points for reading and writing data from the Photoshop internal selection data structures.
• Descriptor Suite Callbacks (deprecated Standard Suite)
  Provides callbacks related to scripting.
